Shuttles
Arizona Shuttle (tel 520/795-6771 or 800/888-2749 Tucson services; 928/226-8060 or 877/226-8060 other services, www.arizonashuttle.com) connects the Grand Canyon, Williams, Flagstaff, Sedona, Camp Verde, Phoenix, and Tucson.
    The Sedona-Phoenix Shuttle (928/282-2066 or 800/448-7988 in Arizona, www.sedona-phoenix-shuttle.com), travels about eight times daily south to Camp Verde, Cottonwood, and Sky Harbor Airport ($40 one-way, $75 roundtrip). The shuttle leaves from Super 8 Motel on W. Hwy. 89A in Sedona and from Bell Rock Inn in the Village of Oak Creek. Ace Xpress Shuttle Service (928/639-3357 Cottonwood or 800/336-2239) provides door-to-door service from Sedona and the Verde Valley to Sky Harbor Airport ($51 one-way, $84 roundtrip).

Ground Tours
Sedona Trolley
(276 W. Hwy. 89A, 928/282-5980, www.sedonatrolley.com) provides two 55-minute tours of town and the surrounding area; the chamber offices have a schedule.
    Many companies offer jeep trips into Sedona's rugged and spectacular backcountry. You have a choice of relatively gentle rides or serious four-wheeling, though drivers take it slow and easy on the rough sections. Kids under 12 or so get a discount. Pink Jeep Tours (204 N. Hwy. 89A, 928/282-5000 or 800/873-3662, www.pinkjeep.com) has been taking visitors around for more than 45 years. Their scenic, prehistoric ruin, rock art, and hiking trips cost $40-95 for 1.5-4 hours. A Day in the West (252 N. Hwy. 89A, 928/282-4320 or 800/973-3662, www.adayinthewest.com) offers a variety of scenic trips including a one- or two-hour jaunt up an old wagon road to a viewpoint for $28-45, a 1.5-hour tour on the popular Broken Arrow Trail for $50, and the 4.5-5-hour Western Experience that combines a Jeep tour, horseback ride, and cookout for $130. Sedona Red Rock Jeep Tours (270 N. Hwy. 89A, 928/282-6826 or 800/848-7728, www.redrockjeep.com) offers 1.5-3.5-hour scenic trips for $39-99, 3-4.5-hour archaeology tours for $79-135, 2.25-hour vortex experiences for $192, and a variety of horseback rides for $54-99. The Adventure Company (Tlaquepaque, 928/204-1973 or 877/281-6622, www.sedonajeeptours.com) runs a variety of scenic and vortex trips of 1.5-3.5 hours that cost $45-95. Or, if you'd rather drive, the company will put you behind the wheel of a Jeep Wrangler.
    MYE Jeep "Make Your Expedition" (6020 AZ179, 928/451-2401, www.myejeep.com/) gives you the keys to a Jeep to explore the back roads of Northern Arizona. Prices start from $375/day.
    Earth Wisdom Jeep Tours (293 N. Hwy. 89A, 928/282-4714 or 800/482-4714, www.earthwisdomtours.com) presents scenic, sacred wheel, vortex, ruin, hiking, and horseback trips along with facts on Indian lore, spirituality, and nature. Excursions run 2-6 hours and cost $49-395. Spirit Steps Tours (928/282-4562 or 800/728-4562, www.spiritsteps.org) has a spiritual emphasis on vortex trips (3-4.5 hours), Native American ruin excursions (3-8 hours), and other programs; $20/hour/person.
    Farabee Jeep Rental (3009 W. 89A, 928/282-8700) will put you in the driver's seat and make suggestions for exploring local backroads.

Air Tours
