The Sedona-Phoenix Shuttle (928/282-2066 or 800/448-7988 in Arizona, www.sedona-phoenix-shuttle.com), travels about eight times daily south to Camp Verde, Cottonwood, and Sky Harbor Airport ($40 one-way, $75 roundtrip). The shuttle leaves from Super 8 Motel on W. Hwy. 89A in Sedona and from Bell Rock Inn in the Village of Oak Creek. Ace Xpress Shuttle Service (928/639-3357 Cottonwood or 800/336-2239) provides door-to-door service from Sedona and the Verde Valley to Sky Harbor Airport ($51 one-way, $84 roundtrip).

You have a choice of relatively gentle rides or serious four-wheeling, though drivers take it slow and easy on the rough sections. Kids under 12 or so get a discount. Pink Jeep Tours (204 N. Sedona Red Rock Jeep Tours (270 N.
